The second update to the Archaeological Science framework since its 2012 publication is now available for consultation on the ScARF website.
We were pleased to work with the University of Edinburgh’s Indigo Reeve in creating a brand-new section exploring the analysis of human remains in Scottish archaeology. You can explore sections focussing on analytical techniques, ethics and palaeopathology, as well as a summary of how human remains research has developed since 2012. You can find the new section here.
In additon to the new sections, we have also added three new case studies to the Archaeological Science framework, showcasing significant sites in Scotland where human remains were discovered, including The Hirsel in the Scottish Borders and the Carmelite Friary on Whitefriar’s Street in Perth.
