Welcome to the new home for NESARF!

The North East Scotland Archaeological Research Framework is now underway. NESARF started in June 2026 and will run until 2029, coordinated by The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and funded by Historic Environment Scotland.

This 3-year project will offer an insight into the diverse archaeology of the North East of Scotland and aid future archaeological research in the region. NESARF will be a collaborative project working with partners including Aberdeenshire County Council, Dundee Museums and Fife Council.
